Meadow Fescue: Ideal for hay production. It is very hardy and frost resistant and it grows well on poor soils.

Smooth Meadow Grass: Very palatable and nutritional to stock. early spring growth and persisting on thinner, dry land. It has a good frost tolerance.

Timothy: Very persistent perennial but it can be slow in the first year of production. Very hardy and frost resistant. Ideal for hay and late season grazing.
Cocksfoot: Ideal for grazing and hay production. Very persistent perennial and is suitable for between 2-10 years. It grows early in the spring. Palatable but should be grazed or cut frequently to remain vegetative and leafy. Extremely tolerant to frost.
Strong Creeping Red Fescue: Very persistent perennial. Its vigorous creeping rhizomes create a dense, tough hardwearing sward.
Slender Creeping Red Fescue: Similar to strong creeping fescue but it has a less aggressive growth rate. Good Frost Tolerance.
Chewing Fescue: Perennial Species. Good frost tolerance.
