RAIDEX sheep marking spray is suitable for marking sheep and lambs.
It is an advancement of the established RAIDEX sheep branding fluid and offers improved drying and washability.
It contains harmless, light-fast pigments, mildly-odorous solvent, wool grease and natural resins.
This composition achieves good drying and removal during the wool wash.
Application:
The markings/numbers are applied by spraying from a distance of 10-15 cm.
RAIDEX sheep branding fluid dries within 4 to 8 hours depending on ambient temperature and consistency of the dye.
As these fluids take several hours to dry, care must be taken to prevent contact with the dye and hence smudging.
The dye markings wash out if conventional wool washing is employed.
The dye markings should be left on the animal for approx. 4-6 weeks in order to guarantee washability.
For short-term markings (e.g. before slaughtering), we recommend our animal marking sticks in green, yellow, orange and fluorescent pink.
Ensure that the markings are applied to sheep in an appropriate place, e.g. head or legs.
