Turnip Armand Seed Mix [131g182945]

This purple and white skinned turnip can be spring sown for summer and autumn lifting or, because of its hardiness, sown later for winter use through to February or March. The sweet, tender flesh boasts excellent culinary qualities - try some with your Christmas lunch!

Growing Information

Sow May-July outdoors. For turnip tops - sow in August, scattering seed thinly and evenly on prepared soil. Rake in lightly. (6-10 weeks maturity).

Sowing Information

Sow 2cm (1/4") deep in drills 38cm (15") apart from early April into well raked, moist soil. Follow with successive sowings every three weeks for regular supply. Thin out to 23cm (9") apart.
For winter use, sow in July and August , lifting in late autumn and storing in boxes of sand or soil indoors.
